Information Logistics for Supporting the Collaborative Design Process

چکیده
For collaboration design we can distinguish between synchronous and asynchronous collaborative working. Both are important and complementary in AEC design. We focus on asynchronous collaborative working. It can be motivated that not separate tools but a complex system of concurrent engineering components linked together by an information logistic system are necessary to cope with the complexity of information flow. The information flow requires coordination in order to end up with a transparent and guided discussionand decision-making process. The information logistics of concurrent engineering components are discussed and indicated in the context of collaborative design.
